An Expat in Jamaica (an Introduction)

I've been hearing allot about blogs these days. So, I thought it was time that I sit down and begin to journal my experiences in Jamaica while I am working for my company. I figure, at the very least, my friends and family can follow my daily life this way.

Let's see, a bit about me and why I am here in Montego Bay. Currently, I am working for VistaPrint (www.VistaPrint.com) as a manager in the contact center. I work in the Quality Assurance (QA) department which basically means that my teams listen to the calls that our agents take and evaluate these contacts to ensure that we are meeting our committments to our customers and the business. It is a great position to have and I love the work that I do.

So I moved to Jamaica last July ('06) and have been here ever since with the exception of a few trips home to visit family during holidays and such. As an expat, I live and work here full time. I am going to try and use this blog to talk about the adventures, challenges and daily life as a Canadian living and working in Jamaica. Maybe I will learn a thing or two about myself as I write this chronicle.

Enjoy reading and stop by often.
